Camping in teepees
Friday around noon we left for Lula, Georgia, to spend a night in a teepee!
The weather was perfect, and we went with our good friends who have three children around Truett & June's ages. The kids ran around like wild animals while we were able to unload & start our campfires (grill & fire pit).
We made hotdogs for the kids, and steak fajitas for the grown ups. Later we chatted over wine and let the kids grill marshmallows for their s'mores.
June wasn't feeling well & so went to bed early, and then I followed shortly after (with Truett who actually asked to go to bed).
In the morning we got up and had coffee, made bacon and eggs, and loaded back up to head to Greenville (I'll do that post Wednesday).
Despite a few traveling-with-kids minor disasters, we had a wonderful time and the teepees were such fun. When we first arrived I heard Truett yell to his friend Lindy, "IS THIS THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE EVER?"
