Hi! I'm Hope and this is my website. I am 28 29 years old and had my first child, Robert Truett, July 28, 2009. This picture is me trying not to look douchy. I hate self-portraits.
I am originally from Virginia, well, no, originally, originally from Georgia, but spent most of my childhood in Northern Virginia, near DC. Bud is originally from Texas and has yet to believe he lives in Alabama. We met at Virginia Tech.
I attempted several different jobs upon moving to Alabama but none really...worked out. I just recently quit an agonizing desk job that ended with my full time placement in the scanning department which, yep! sounds as glamorous as it was. I am currently a stay-at-home-mom to Truett.
Bud was working on his graduate degree when we met and he now works as a forester for a company here in Birmingham. That is primarily why we are here, but I have always had a love affair with the deep south. You cannot find cooler billboards authored by God himself, anywhere else. Generally they are pretty close to the strip joints and naughty shops.
We have two dogs who alternately drive us insane and provide lots of laughter, like the time Copper expressed his anal sacs on a drive to visit Bud's family in Texas. YOU HAVE NOT LIVED until an experience like that.
This website was begun, and remains, mainly because of my incessant need for attention and self-centered nature. And because I like to write. No love, love to write.
And oh! The name. I mention the story behind Grape Did It in one of my posts but to summarize: when I was very young I blamed everything on grape. No, really. WHO DROPPED FLOUR ALL OVER THE KITCHEN FLOOR? Grape, he did it. Who tried to flush a cardboard toilet paper roll down the toilet? Grape! Yes he DID! Grape DID IT! There you have it.
