Quotes from the kids
The kids have been super entertaining recently and, though I have a notebook for jotting down cute quotes, I don't remember to actually put them in there nearly often enough. So I thought I'd put a few down here, from the last week or so in case you get a kick out of them like I do (& to save them!).
When Truett tries valiently to explain a concept that I'm just not getting, he ends his sentence with, "mama, you get it now?"
June wakes up around 5:30 in the morning these days. I bring her into our bed and, though I'm so bleary it's not funny, it is a sweet snuggle time. Yesterday she nursed for a few minutes, then out of the blue pulled back and asked, into the pitch dark, "what?"
If June feels disappointed by something she shakes her head and says, "Aw, maaaan," then usually runs out of the room.
Truett worked on an art project yesterday, told me he thought he was pretty good at art and then said, "If you ever want to get arted, just ask me."
And, lastly, Truett was using a green fabric paint I had from years ago (for his project). He looked up and asked, "Did you know before I was born that green was going to be my favorite color and so you bought this one?"
