Happy Valentine's Day
C'mon. You don't have to be sappy-in-love to celebrate loving someone, anyone. Or pouring yourself a stiff drink with some candy hearts in it. Or eating too much chocolate. Or taking a friend to a rom com and scarfing popcorn :) Let's just make up excuses to celebrate!
Yesterday Truett and I worked on Valentine's and I thought I'd share some pictures.
I think his T is coming along quite nicely, don't you?
And I glued little hearts to mine (for Bud) so that they looked like they were about to take flight. Little butterfly hearts (above & hearts cutout, below).
This morning I made two peanut butter & jelly sandwiches - one for Bud, one for True - and cut them both into hearts. I put Truett's on a tray next to our bed (where he ends up most nights) because he loves breakfast in bed & when he woke up this morning he ran into the living room yelling about a peanut butter jelly in the shape of a heart! So far today he's given me: his craft box and a plastic zebra. This weekend Bud & I are hoping to sneak out for a belated Valentine lunch while our neighbor watches the kids :) How are you celebrating?
Happy Valentine's Day, hope it's sweet!

i love his little expression in that last picture. also, aren't aunts supposed to get valentines from their nephews? pretty sure that's in the handbook.

C had pink milk for dinner, only it turned the shade of pepto-bismol! Ooops! Our neighbors gave us chocolate stout and a heart-shaped pizza, mostly to thank Michael for regularly snowblowing their sidewalk this winter. Like you said in your post, any excuse to celebrate and spread smiles...

Aww, Hannah, what a sweet Valentine's Day. We used it as an excuse to just do fun little things too - draw hearts on the chalkboard, give each other random "gifts" from around the house...etc :)
Georgia - you give me way too much organizational credit.
