We went to a marine rescue and aquarium today. Do you know what these white spots are on the dolphin's back? Sunburn. No kidding, a dolphin can get sunburned.
I am such a sucker for these creatures. I know I shouldn't even THINK IT, much less SAY IT OUT LOUD because they are WILD ANIMALS HOPE, HAVE YOU NO RESPECT? But I'd love one for a pet. Both of these are rescues who could not survive in the wild.
Happy beach picture. We also drove around looking for a coffee shop and stumbled onto this charming little scene. No matter that it is only fifty or so degrees here today, I couldn't leave Florida without a few of these picture-gems.
And another one.
The type of wooden wall I'd like to sit on with a beer or two in hand. And a margarita. While threading my toes through the sand and singing off-key Jimmy Buffet songs. While people walk by rolling their eyes muttering things like, "tourists" and "what a cliche".
We leave Saturday morning. Since we've been here Truett has learned how to pull himself up to standing, sit with ease and I have learned that he is afraid of cats. Huh. Didn't see that one coming.
can i request a picture of his reaction when he interacts with ace?

Ga - it's a see-in-person kind of thing. He just sits there looking wary and makes concerned little babbly sounds.
