One misconception I had about pregnancy was that the sensitivity to smells would dissipate as time went on. I got that the first few months were bad, but I had no idea that as late as 35 weeks I would be smelling some putrid mixture of tuna and ass here at the coffee shop. Who ordered the tuna-ass combo? Could you have a little mercy for the pregnant folk around you? And don't even get me started on the way the dishrag smelled this morning. Luckily my mother was there as a willing audience for my drama, MY GOD. THIS IS WORSE THAN THE USUAL SOUR SMELL. IT'S LIKE, IT'S LIKE SOMEONE WIPED UP ROTTEN FISH STICKS.
So yeah, here I am at 35 weeks and the baby feels like it is trying to escape on an almost hourly basis. I want to tell Cider that, scary as it sounds to both of us, you're going to have to take the small exit. Yeah. That one. I know it looks unrealistic but according to everyone who's done it before, it's entirely possible. I know, I know, but I can't do anything about your fear of tight spaces at this point. It's just kind of the way this birthing thing goes. Right now, as well meaning as everyone around us is, we're kind of on our own. But hey, at least we have each other. We can so do this shit! PS, I'm scared too.
I'm still shocked at how reasonably pregnant I look in these pictures because the truth is that I'm not. I'm swooooole. I make an audible noise now every time I get up from the bed in the night to use the bathroom. Which happens to be...hourly? Even my father looked a little shocked to see me yesterday and confirmed that yep, you are BIG.
Here is just my belly and you'll note that though not an outie! At least not yet, my belly button canal, if you will, is nearly non-existent. Which delights Bud to no end. I find this fact odd but, whatever, he's finding his very own special way to SHARE IN OUR JOURNEY.
Soooo cute!! These pictures are oddly enough making me kind of sad...because I'm moving in a few weeks, and I won't be close when Cider actually gets here!!

Yay!!! You look fantastic! I LOVE the shirt! Please tell me you purchased it recently, I would like one of my own!
Also, kiss Sadie for me, I'm so glad she's better. If it makes her feel better, she can discuss allergies with Buddy. He has them and gets a shot from me every 10 days. (has helped like you would not believe!!!)

Ash - you should feel sad. I think the reasons to stay are adding up.
Stan - I'll have to ask my mom to respond to that - she gave me the shirt. I don't even think it's maternity - just nice and blowsy. PS - cannot believe you have the fortitude to give Buddy shots yourself!

Smile in your damn pictures - Cider is going to think you're miserable!
So cute though - I cannot wait to meet her (now I think she's a girl) and literally want her out more than you do.

The shirt, not maternity, is from Macy's. I went to one in St. Pete/Largo, Florida. If you can't find it at a Macy's near you, or possibly online, let me know and I will look in here for you.
